With delicate colored pencil illustrations rendered in subtle tones, Terry tells a simple story of adventure and friendship. The direct writing is paired with intricate imagery in which details are revealed with every read: an alligator peeking its head out of a sewer grate; the price of a Swiss cheese sandwich at the deli; a man watching television through an apartment building’s window.
